Private Forensic Investigator
Forensic investigation in Ireland has traditionally been the domain of large firms serving corporate clients, solicitors, and insurers. Private individuals — people dealing with personal, family, or civil disputes — have often been left to navigate a complicated and opaque landscape on their own.
Private Forensic Investigator was established to change that. We provide the same standard of accredited, methodical forensic work to private individuals that was previously only accessible to businesses and legal firms.

About PFI
WHO WE ARE
We are accredited forensic practitioners with formal qualifications and ongoing professional development in the disciplines we work within — digital device forensics and document examination. Our work follows internationally recognised forensic standards.
That means proper chain of custody procedures, documented methodology, and findings presented in a format that is clear, structured, and suitable for use in legal proceedings if required. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t overstate what the evidence shows. Our job is to tell you what the evidence actually says — accurately, and without embellishment.
OUR APPROACH
Honest. Thorough. Discreet.
Forensic investigation is not like it appears on television. It requires patience, rigorous methodology, and a commitment to following the evidence rather than confirming assumptions. When you come to us, we start by listening. We ask questions to understand your situation fully before we recommend a course of action. If we don’t think forensic examination will give you what you need, we’ll tell you that too — clearly and at the outset.
Every case we take on receives the same careful attention, regardless of whether it involves a single document or an extensive device examination. Our reports are written to be understood by people who are not forensic specialists, while meeting the technical standards required for court or legal use. We understand that most people who contact us are dealing with something stressful and often deeply personal. We treat every enquiry with the discretion and respect that warrants.

ACCREDITATION & STANDARDS
The value of forensic evidence depends entirely on how it was obtained and documented. Evidence collected without proper methodology can be challenged, dismissed, or — worse — used against you.
Our practitioners hold recognised forensic qualifications and conduct all examinations in line with accepted professional standards. This includes maintaining an unbroken chain of custody, using certified forensic tools, and producing reports that document not just our findings but the process by which we reached them.
If your case goes before a solicitor, a court, or any other decision-making body, our work will stand up to scrutiny.
WHAT WE DON’T DO
We think it’s important to be clear about this:
We do not access devices or accounts without proper authorisation. We do not conduct surveillance. We do not operate outside the boundaries of Irish and European law. Any evidence gathered through unlawful means is inadmissible and could seriously damage your position — which is why we take legal compliance seriously from the outset.
If you contact us looking for something we cannot lawfully provide, we’ll tell you that directly.
